So I do dabble a tad bit myself in writing, but never have actually put pen to paper as it were, so I wrote down these two snippets, and decided to share. Both of these are by me. I welcome constructive critique, but please be gentle okay?
1. The Last Stand.
As I stood shoulder to shoulder with my brothers and sisters, my muscles tensed within the frame of my power armor. The air, had suddenly gone dead, and the only sound for miles around seemed to be my heavy breathing within my helmet. Then I saw it, A mass of black forms cresting the hills in front of us. Their black rounded armor reminding me of a swarm of beetles. They stopped just meters away, and their commander, a hulking man in hellfire armor stepped forward. Colonel Irons Stepped forward as well. His weathered and battle scarred armor, looking almost pathetic compared to the towering techno hulk before him. He then proceeded to hand him a letter of surrender. Our attendance here was a last show of what little pride we had. We were out numbered and outgunned. So it was decided by what remaining officers we had to surrender, and retreat from the area. Hopefully we could return some day, when we were more then just a shell of our former glory. Then before the hand off could be completed, I heard it. The horrifying sound of a plasma weapon being discharged. I then realized what had happened. it was an ambush! It was we who had offered to surrender, and now the enclave had taken advantage of our offer in order to wipe us out completely! I do now know how I survived, but when I awoke, I was still in my power armor, it's joints fused in many places due to the heat of the flamer the Enclave soldier who brought me down carried. I managed too pry my armor open, and slip out into the night. Luckily my knowledge of the stars guided me to civilization, but if you want to hear about what brought me to this shit-hole bar, in the ass end of nowhere then you're going to have to buy me another round stranger...
2. No Survivors
"Bullseyes back!" The telltale sound of the door into the cistern alerted drummer boy to this. Because all other field agents were accounted for, it could only be her. It has been only a few months since this lone survivor of vault 111 found her way to them. Poor woman had been a frozen since before the war. Her only child had been kidnapped, and husband murdered by the institute. However by the time she arrived she had already taken out Kell0gg, The man responsible for the murder of her husband. Seeing as they had just gotten through a crisis The Railroad couldn't afford to turn away help. Turned out to be the best damn thing they could have done! Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned they say, and this woman, was on a one person rampage. in a few short weeks, she had easily established herself as their most valuable heavy hitter. She even managed to crack the big mystery of the boogey-man of the commonwealth himself. where his lair was! Then in a flash of blue lightening she as gone. Off on her mission to infiltrate the institute and take them down! It had been just under a month with no contact, but now she was back! When Drummer boy ascended the stairway, and Bullseye came into view, his excitement turned to horror. The woman he knew gone. No longer dressed in ragged military fatigues, and makeshift armor, but now adorned in Courser's combat leathers ,and wearing their signature aviator sunglasses."SNAP" Everyone heard it. The unmistakable sound of a leaser weapon discharging. Drummer bow fell lifelessly down the stairs, his eyes still looked as if he was in shock. "You Bitch!" Shouted Glory, as she began too hoist her mini gun, but a plasma grenade rolled down the steps, and landed at her feet with uncanny accuracy. Detonating in a sickly green flash that killed her and two to others. Another laser bolt flew and struck Desdemona square in the chest "Sam... I'm coming" she managed to mutter before falling lifelessly to the floor in a heap of ash. Her body having been cremated before even touching the ground. The loud clunk of metallic legs echoed from the back as the resident Assaultron began to charge into action, but was quickly taken out by another well placed grenade that flung her metallic body several feet back against he wall. and Crashing into Doctor Carrington who was left impaled by a large piece of rebar that was jutting from the nearby scarp pile. Decan had been silent up until now. He had popped a stealth boy as soon as things started going sideways and stayed quit. Bullseye, or HK-99 as she was now called moved further into the room. Her speed and grace almost unnatural "Why?!" A single word called from the shadows "Why Bullseye? We took you in, Des trusted you, Hell I trusted you, and I have never trusted anyone. What did they offer you huh? They offer you a nice cushy life without worry, and luxury? All you had to do was sell out your family you bitch?! Was it easy? How long did it take you to think it over huh? How long before you decided to kill the last hopes of the synths? We were all they had, and you took that from the..." There was a metallic click from behind, as Decan heard Her cock the gun. It was the same .44 caliber revolver that she had taken fromKellogg's corps "You talk too much." She said, as the massive revolver was pressed against the back of his skull, tears streaming down her face. Then with a sound of thunder, and a splatter of blood it was done. The Railroad was was no more. Surveying the carnage around her, she pressed her finger to her ear peace knowing that anyone who may have been friendly with the Railroad, would find this tomb and get the message. "Hk-99 Requesting Relay. Mission accomplished" Then, Just before the blue flash her expression went from that of a human with emotions, to that of a killing Machine. A machine that couldn't be reasoned, or bargained with. Devoid of pity, remorse or fear, and absolutely willl not stop. Ever.
