Traditional media ho! I've been on a bit of a watercolor kick, if you can't tell. I like the way it looks for badges, especially. I'm still a loooong way off from where I want to be, but. . . I'm working on my technique.
These two badges took me almost all day. . . most of the detailing is done (still) with prismacolor pencil. I can't entirely break away from the materials I'm comfortable with. But perhaps some day. . . .

Your watercolours are totally rocking!
The coloured pencil detailing always works really well with watercolours too, I've seen a lot of professional illustrators who use this combo frequently. They look really good when you print them also. ;D
BTW message me on AIM sometime! I miss talking to you. ;]

These are awesome, I really like the facial expressions and layering of details.
I recommend you get yourself some arches satin finish if you can. Its really worth it especially if youre going to be layering colored pencil on top. Thats my personal preference, because on MY art I dont like seeing the paper texture cause its distracting from the detail im trying to add. I have a lot of problems layering /making a lot of detail with prismas, purely because i find them way too waxy. After 2 colors it does not want to accept another. I recommend faber castel's polychromos pencils if you find yourself having this problem too.
But if youre completely comfortable with these materials, because you like texture, ect- then just ignore this =P
Theyre just suggestions!
