I've wanted to do a happier, more optimistic followup picture to the sad one I drew for Tani when Ashati passed away ( http://www.furaffinity.net/view/3112724/ ) for some time, and when last night my muses seemed to shower me with their pixie dust and I was too creative to go to sleep, I sat down and brought it to paper.
Took me about 5 hours from the first sketch to color correction of the scan, and I fell into my bed exhausted at seven a.m. this morning, but I won't complain, it was fun (and worth it, I think).
This time, I did the colo in 99.5% pure Polychromos, while I wait for my Copic Various ink to arrive to fill up my empty markers.

You are very welcome, Tani. It was a pleasure to draw, Nightfox and you are so cute together, your kitties are cute as hell anyways, and I just love reading what you write and the photos you post of them and you two on your LJ and twitter - that just somehow lets everybody partake a little in your life, which inspires a lot and makes imagining scenes for a picture so much easier and fun.
And seeing it strike a chord with you makes it all the more gratifying.
