twinklestah lost her dog recently. When my dear dear dog Lucy died a few years ago, I was so sad. It is very hard to lose a beloved animal companion. Obviously, none of us really know where the dead "go," if they go anywhere. Sometimes on hot summer days I swear I hear Lucy's nails clip-clipping along behind me on the pavement when I walk around. Sometimes I SWEAR I see her out of the corner of my eye. I don't know if dogs visit us after they pass, or if our memories of them are just that powerful, but anyone we lose is still with us. And I bet if they remember us wherever they are, they miss us too.Rest in peace Pepper.

O Gawd don't make me cry ....
Yer damn skippy all pets watch over you from the Other Side. I swear (and I generally don't believe in ghosts and things like that) that my friend's house is "haunted" by their belated kitty. Haunted is the wrong word. But I hear that cat on the stairs when I'm alone in the house.
She's never scary tho'. She was/is a good cat.
