You nailed her coat color, too. The Brown Bears you are most likely to encounter near the Ocean are the Kodiaks, who are naturally lighter-colored than their inland relatives. California Grizzlies were also lighter colored, but Hy00mins extincted 'em. Funny what I learned researching my latest story.
