Howdy there! Usually I don't make posts like this, seeing as I've never had to :0
Today I found out that my leopard gecko has laid a pair of fertile eggs! I would never live with myself if I let the little guys deflate, so I put them right into an incubation setup. I need to get the things to care for them within 30 days or so for my new little friends to live their happiest lives <3 The eggs can hatch at any point after the first 25 days or so, so it's important I have somewhere to put the babies and a breeding tank of crickets prepared to have bugs small enough for them to eat. These guys are a surprise since I just moved, and my lizards were sharing a tank for about a week while I was transporting them. It's been a month and this is my female's first lay since :0 I'm not 100% sure if they're both my geckos' eggs or the female just cloned herself. I can only find out in time.
I'm looking to do any sort of art that's non-painted so that I can give y'all a fast turnaround time. I can take up to a week to finish a commission, have my queue posted right on my front page, and you don't have to send any money until you see your sketch and approve it~ I have 9 slots free currently and am hoping to fill them all. I DONT DO NSFW! (but I will work with nsfw refsheets if that's all you have) I am willing to draw horror/gore, maws, paws, and large characters.
My goal is to earn $200 usd so that I can get supplies. For those who are curious, the things I need to buy are:
- 2 10 gallon aquariums with lids, one for each egg assuming they both hatch
- 1 5 gallon aquarium, also with a lid for the cricket breeding
- 3 heat mats sized for those tanks
- 2 water bowls for the babies
- 4 hides for the lizards, 2 for each tank (warm and cool sides)
Thankfully I have the rest of the things I'll need, since I already have a pair of adult leos~ Vitamins, substrate, etc are all covered :D
I really need to make sure I have somewhere for the babies to go, though, since co-habbing leos is a bad idea. Their mother is very sweet and would be fine with them at first, but I can't leave 3 lizards in a 25 gallon space forever. My second lizard is very aggresive and would never stand a tankmate, so splitting them 50/50 can't be done either despite the area technically allowing it. I also have no idea if the babies will get along!
