My character Yanniv, traditional Media as most of you can see.
She's a bat. (OH REALLY?)
A crobat (aaaaah)
Well.... but she differs a lot from Pokemon's Original Crobat design
so you can almost say she's a sort of fakemon(?)
Anyways.
Capitalism time:
Want me to draw your character, traditional media?
$15 and I'll make you both you and me very happy lol

awsome ^^
I have a slightly simlar way of shading, but its not as good as yours. Where you have the solid black line for the curved areas, such as between her legs, or under her chest area, normally I would just do a solid shade from black, slowly getting lighter. Same thing for the legs, how the purple over purple, I woulda done a similar shad,e but you gave it more depth then what I normally do. So this is a much more improved shading style then my own. I must learn from this! -saves it-
X3

Oh, i think i understand!
What many people told me is that you should use more than one color when shading with colored pencils, so for this one I used pink, purple and deep purple
and then for even darker areas you use a sligh touch of black!! its to be done with light hand and very softly since it already makes it much darker!! ^^;;
I've seen some of your pictures with colored pencils and theyre already pretty impressive!
it's just a matter of training a bit ;w;

yuppers, which is why im so glad I got prisma pencil crayons, cuz they give you like, 3 or 4 different shades of one colour X3 so you always have a variaty for things. I usually do one light layer of the main colour, like a light layer of just plain red, then another layer of a lighter red, then where shade is, I put darker red, and use the normal red to go over it again to help blend, then the lighter red to make the blend better. Problem is, I always screw up on textures for things, as well as using the shade to give form and epth liek what you did for the under the chest area, and between the legs. For me, instead of having that defining line that you see that is like a continuation fo what you have from a different colour, mine doesn't do that.
Thats just an explanation to how I shade, and how it compares to what I see. Yours gives way to what would really be seen, meanwhile mine kinda more like hides it.
And thank you so much. I liek the style I have now, but I know its lacking, alot, so im always trying to improve it. Funny thing though, I somehow just got that style. I actualyl stopped colouring with coloured pencils for like, 3 years, then started again, and bam, I got what I got now XD

XD, probably, but good news, over those 3 years, somehow, I had actually IMPROVED, rather then get worse at it XD
ya, I only got a 60 pack, I wanna get a 120 pack, cuz it has a much wider variety. And if your not using Prisma, what are you using? o.o
thankies so much, and you probably won't believe it, but this picture alone has helped alot ^^
