On a photographic walk several years ago this solitary flower had popped up just above the reedy shoreline in the dry grass.

I enjoyed the day, though there were more bugs there than one usually finds and thus I'd not worn repelant. Almost all of my photos have black dots from insects trying to eat me a few cells at a time and getting in the way of my lens.
