I love your RPG genre parodies. :)

There are so many things about RPGs I could complain about or question endlessly. Like why are the towns so far apart? Why is traveling so darn treacherous? Why, when the adventurers reach the final dungeon, do the boss's underlings take turns to be defeated instead of ganging up on the adventurers all at once? Hell, gather every monster in the castle and just destroy the good guys. Surely there will be plenty enough time to finish your preparations for world domination after you turn the heroes into a pile of bloody giblets.

I have often wonderd why no one ever noticed the great number of charitable works the average Evil Overlord does. I have come across games where they opend schools, funded orphanages, created jobs...

I always wondered about that, they do they always sends weak guys that get progressively stronger at adventurers instead of just wiping them out the a hell spawn or some thing?

It's probably to make sure they use everyone.
Some sort of fairness and equality program. You just can't have the weaker monsters sitting ont he benches while your good monsters take the feild.

then why not send every one together? send all your little goblins and your ogres and giants with them. I mean if your going to invaded and conquer a kingdom, it doesn't make sense to send your armies into battle single file and spread out.

instead of an army it feels more like the evil horde just got over populated and the weaker guys got pushed to the outskirts of the group.

But the rule of the Unbeatable Boss gets broken by the Hax Sub-Hero. Inevitably.

When the adventurers come across an overpowered stumbling block that at their level they just couldn't touch, it's written in stone that a force of some make will whisk them away or destroy the obstacle in a bit of natural deus ex machina.

And that's why i still adore the game Dungeon Keeper. - The baddies win in it!
