A new form for Patch since acquiring access to 4th-level spells, and more importantly, the Soaring Shape feat.
I'd never played a druid character before, but I believe what I'm about to describe is new to Pathfinder 2e. PF2e gives player characters a Focus Point (sometimes more than one) that's used for class-specific things independent of spells and such. In Patch's case it can be used for Wild Morph or Wild Shape, and the focus point can be regained by spending ten minutes meditating to commune with nature spirits or otherwise soaking in wilderness. Wild Shape isn't new, it allows you to transform into an animal, starting with short times as smaller creatures only and expanding to battle-ready forms for longer given feats and levels. Wild Morph on the other hand works off some of the same feats and only transforms you partially.
Patch started with the ability to grow monstrous claws from his hands for use as weapons, and then Wild Morph just... quickly stopped being useful compared to Wild Shape. With the Soaring Shape feat that adds Aerial Form to Wild Shape, though, Patch can transform partially just to gain wings, gaining flight while still able to cast spells. Realistically he should grow wings from his back while his arms don't change, because he's supposed to be able to still hold things and cast spells with a somatic component, and later on will be able to have wings and claws at the same time via one use of Wild Morph. Buuuuuuuut I like how this looks better, looks more like the cryptid he's supposed to be.
Patch has only turned into a bird once before as of now. I didn't specify what kind at the time. Afterwards I thought "he would be a sparrow, because of the color scheme" before remembering there is already some owl inspiration in his design--the patterns on the shawl, I was thinking about those bird-scaring balloons with owl eyes printed on them.
