My first ever commission! I've been hesitant for a long time to accept commissions, it always seemed like the best way to turn drawing, something I love, into something that's a chore. A guy on my friend's server had a request I thought I could manage and since I've been stuck in quarantine lockdown without work to do, it neatly settled the question of what to do with my time. He originally wanted his female predator killing some random NPC, but he liked Sabre and thought he'd be a worthy opponent! Sabre's been fighting a long time, deep in the bush, in places far from civilisation. I like the idea that out on patrols he's seen some stuff he can't explain, stuff that he tries to forget but lurks in the back of his long memory.
I'm pretty proud of the result and I hope I managed to justify the relatively high pricetag I asked for. I had a decent time with making it although I'm not sure I want to open the floodgates and take more commissions immediately though, but I'm glad that it's an option I've proven myself that I have.

This turned out awesome. Good to see your first commission turned out nicely. The lighting from the fire is particularly dramatic and cool. The dramatic lighting and intense expression complement each other to create an intense mood in the picture. The background has a lot of nice detail but doesn't compete for attention against the main characters. Great work.
Thanks! It was an interesting experience to try out. The guy gave me a lot of freedom which meant I could kinda do the things that I enjoy, darkness and fire light. I think I like the idea of doing fancy commissions since it feels worth the investment from an artistic standpoint.
