This is sort of a rant. In the last few weeks, I've dealt with furs who belittle asexuality twice in the fandom. One played innocent while questioning how someone could know they are ace and that one should justify their asexuality. Well, why do you like math? Why do you like summer? How do you know you're bi? How do you know you're cis? How do you know you don't wanna submit your body to a tattoo until you try it? When do you question cis-straight people's sexuality? I don't owe a justification. I am who I am and I refuse to accept anything less than basic respect as a valid asexual fur.
The other wanted to justify a video that implied lack of sex kills relationships saying that in relationships with allo (non-ace) people, sex is expected and people feel bad when they don't have sex, and I should be empathetic towards them. People have to understand that not having sex when you want is not the same as having sex when you don't want. Nobody's entitled access to my body unless I say so. Ace people aren't guilty for your rage; your addiction to sex and, I dare to say, your inability to develop nonsexual intimacy is why you're acting like an incel.
