Confusedoo has been creating a new character for himself. He wanted to do different stuff with the anatomy to suit an otter's looks. I've never drawn an otter before, so I wanted to give it a shot. Spent about an hour sketching this out.
Couple things: For starters, I SUCK at legs. I really really do. Trust me I'm trying to get better, but my leg anatomy is pure crap. I spent too much time staring at pretty torsos.
Secondly, I know the line quality isn't up to my usual standards, but that's because I'm trying to get faster and more efficient with inking in Photoshop. Instead of sketching a line out I'm trying to do it in one big swoop. It's hard to do though, since my hand tends to stick to the tablet and I get less control. Still, I'll get the hang of it eventually, which will help me to produce more art at a faster pace.
So anyway, this is just a quick sketch I wanted to do for practice and fun.

Gee, thanks a lot! I'm totally impreesed. Definitely brighted my mood this morning after consecutive 12 hour days.
Doing one sweeping line is definitely faster (and gives a better picture once you get really good at it), but it does take forever to learn. I've been working on that ever since back in High School when our art teacher first encouraged us to do that.

Huzzah for postings again! ^^
Have you ever looked into open canvas? It's incredibly easy and fun to color on it. It's like water colors *drools* .. Anyhow.. I use it more than photoshop on my pictures.(and it does have pressure sensitivity if your tablet has it)
It may have it's bad points.. but it's overall good. I find it faster and easier to color with than photoshop. However, photoshop has more color effects.
.. and um.. if you want constructive critism for the legs.. remember the curve of the rump is also part of the torso and should be appreciated. >>; ^^ ... Sorry if I'm a bother. x.x;
