Head-body and eye-head proportions are very Ghibli. Also, the square-ish pupils when Toothless is calmer.
Oh, and the scene when he sits down and motions to Hiccup to eat the fish, you can see a little bit of Totoro in there because of the shape of his horns. Just a thought :3
