Feeder kobolds: small and expensive, these kobolds have been bred to be sold as pets, medical experiments, or as food. they can learn basic knowledge of things but overall are not very intelligent. they're happy being loved by people and being pets the best.

Gaia kobolds: Small, Pathetic and Weak, but fearsome in packs, Gaia kobolds came into valicia along with the arrival of the True Dragons. they're native to another planet, Gaia. much like feeder kobolds, they are happy as pets and loved by people. to them, a pet collar is the best gift, as it indicates their new owner is decided to make their life happy.

Common kobolds: the most common species of kobold in Valicia, they're smart, generally form large families and are happy either as pets or living independently. they're considered the most successful intelligent race in valicia due to their numbers and their willingness to take up just about any job they can.

Superior kobolds: the only thing superior about these kobolds is their size. unlike their smaller siblings, who have vestigial ears, Superior kobolds have physical ears and increased sensitivity to sounds. they're mostly comfortable in jobs of leadership, and their numbers are rather low.

Guardian kobolds: this breed of kobold was created by the divine Jeanne specifically to be her royal guard. since then they've taken more jobs that require a lot of muscle. they're very strong and their scales are overall stronger. their hide alone can withstand a bullet shot! and the scales on their hips, back and shoulders are super tough.

all kobolds have an innate sense of loyalty and will do the job as required. because they are the most favored species created by Jeanne, they strive to live up to her demands. of course, there's always a rotten egg or two in the population, but that's more of an exception than a rule. All kobolds also emit a special pheromone that, in very high amounts can drive non-kobold species crazy for sex. the city of Kobold's Arc has a thin mist made up of this pheromone. for this reason, any outsider entering the city must wear masks to filter the pheromone.
