Charlie and Leonard are water dragons, with their wings serving as their gills. Charlie's are much smaller, making moving about on land easier, but limiting her to shallower depths where there is more oxygen.
Hubby Leonard is helping her test herself and find her limits. It looks like they might have found it as she begins to suffer from hypoxia. Leonard will get her to shalower depths and make sure she is okay.
