Jake the Scary Jackal saves Birdy and Sheep
Introducing Jake-Al the jackal, fearsome strong fella.

That pic is ironic cause Rafal the blue arcosaur is afraid of the jackal for being an "unknown being" while his flat mate Daegon is also an "unknown being". Apparently a plucked bird is more scary than a shift-shaping dragon?

Captain Frozen-Petal wasn't ready to catch that one though, silly sheep. Guess Jake-Al is the Captain American of jackals.
I imagine jackals are optimized for speed not strength so he'd be super fast not as much super strong.

My pal's tiny parrot char Pauly isn't very smart. Fortunate for the little bird who fell for the seed trap, Jake was there to defeat the box and rescue Pauly, getting a hug as a reward.
Yes jackals or Kig-Yar are form the Halo game and i think they're awesome, guess this would be a Fan Character? A Halo FC?

I think Kig-Yar evolved from creatures very similar to dromaeosaurs or some similar type of avian dinosaur even if some of it would be down to convergent evolution, so not so different from the avian species on Roia though not genetically related.
It's nice to see a heroic Kig-Yar character and at least with your art we'll see friendly interactions with them rather than in the Halo games where they always seemed to be enemies.
