My roommate ran a D&D campaign over last semester and this semester, primarily for those of us that have never played before.
Hanaelo Izarek, my character, used to be an elf. Thanks to a very bad alchemy accident, he get mixed up with a nearby red fox. Taking advantage of his new traits, he became a Druid. The fox, no longer fitting in among his own kind, became Hanaelo's animal companion. However, Hanaelo never got over his fear of alchemy - not really a good thing, considering one of the other party members was a fairly skilled alchemist.
This sketch is of him using what quickly became my favorite spell, Produce Flame. It was meant for planning, but I never got around to making and coloring another one, so here it is.
For other players, we just used Catfolk stats and said I looked like a fox. And as for why a level 1 spell became my favorite? I took a few Wizard levels, so I also had a Familiar (A fox kit, we used cat stats). Both of my animals have the Share Spells ability. And my DM ruled that I can just replace their attacks with Produce Flame, provided all other requirements are met - so I was averaging 50 damage every single round as of Level 6 Druid/Level 1 Wizard. At range, too, as Produce Flame is a ranged touch attack.
