How this happened?
Technically This is Gallows shadow, during a Voodoo spell Gallows suffered a lapse of concentration and resulted in a mix of backfire and chaos. After the otters screaming subsided he found out that he had a new being to meet. His shadow had been separated from his body and was trembling in front of him, slowly rising into shape, thus the birth of the Shadow Shark Gallows, the same muscles and impressive build, very much the same�

The Shadow Gallows instantly took the shape of a shark and ended up trying to attack Gallows, after an initial bit of shadow wrestling it wasn�t long till both found they couldn�t hurt each other. Further more the shadow found that unless Gallows was experiencing extreme emotions(not that rare actually) it was just a shadow incapable of touching or feeling, the powerful otters emotions ended up giving the shadow substance and flesh. (and locking it in its current shape). This �Curse� has actually proved very useful, the sentient shadow could slip easily enough into even sealed rooms and then when gallows got ravenous gain substance. All in all the Shadow shark exists on its own now(especially when gallows is asleep)

Like most stories where a body gets separated from something intrinsic it tends to go off to be evil, however with Gallows already ruthless personality his shadow seems to just be another pair of paws and a cohort in the plans, neither can effectively harm each other so this didn�t take to long to find that there talents were quiet complimentary, Shadow and the original are quite content with each other.


The Shadow�s Life
The shadow can exist in one of a numerous amount of ways, as a separate form, effectively a new character (with a few shapes inherent in it); it can be riding Gallows(or covering as it is also called), essentially giving the otter a new look but the essence of the otter is still in control; or it can rest and act as a normal otter shadow, the change of these existences can happen in moments, the otters shadow grows and leaps from Gallows hungry and ravenous as a shark. Normally the shadow shark masquerades as his shadow, literally, and enjoys the acts his owner does to the extreme. Seeing a shadow occasionally not mime its caster is a bit unnerving at times. Most often when encountered the shark form is �riding� gallows, essentially acting just like a normal morph rather than a shadow character. Both shadow and natural experience it all in this resulting in a fat gallows if he reverts to normal otter after the shark eats.

Other than the basic shark mentioned and most commonly scene the shadow is also occasionally scene as a Manata Ray, or even a pitch black otter.

Exorcised otter weaknens
Sometime in the past, within the past few years Gallows turned from a pred prey to a pure pred, he became far more aggressive and dominating, what happened to the more �otterlike� part, perhaps it was exorised in the growth of his persaonlity, but like all ideas in my mind something still simmers. Here we return to the beach going,lifeguard, playful otter, hungry and all but still going both ways, lack of experience of course and not really him anymore
