How-I-do-things post 9/10
We all want good things in life but we all have different ways of trying to get to them.
I am very simple in that way. I want to earn and deserve it all.
That mindset is probably the reason that I'm at peace when it comes to things I don't have (didn't earn yet or never will) and very grateful for every small step I get to make towards what I'm dreaming of.
When doing my work I often have a hard time judging when and where I got to the point where I truly deserve to be paid what I ask for or what the client offered.
Technically, smaller scale work is easier to get right so with less work I can get better results. So does that make that work cheaper because I did less work or more expensive because it looks better?
This painting needed to deserve the highest budget for a painting I ever got and I made sure that no matter how good I get in the future, I'll always be able to see that at the time of painting it, I gave it my all.
Considering that my job is to work with clients directly and that their happiness is what I'm working towards, I've landed on a couple of rules like, If I can make any detail better, I will.
If it takes more time to do it right, that's on me. I do not deserve to be compensated for my skills failing me.
At any price, my best work is a guaranty, price relates to general scale...
Over the years this all translated into kind of an OCD when it comes to my work and now that same obsession has spilled into all important aspects of my life.
Everything I do I just want to do better, and the better I get, I hope more I'll deserve and more will come to me...

Thank you! This one was all about the lighting, it didn't turn out as realistic as I wanted it to but I guess it works. I feel like I'm at the point where I can do a pretty good job on things I have a clear reference for, but here I had to use my imagination to figure out how things would work and naturally it's hard to get that perfect.
Your work never ceases to amaze me. You have such talent and with each addition to your gallery I'm stunned, beyond words. Everything from the foregrounds and backgrounds, to your coloring and rendering, to your scales and perspective. Everything you do is absolutely divine and inspiring. Please keep it up, your hard work, dedication, and creativity knows no bounds and is worth every cent!!
a phantastic world, phantastically painted. there is sense of depth, sense of movement, shadow and light, a waterfall falling into oblivion... what fuels it? a gate to the elemental realm of water? and there are more rocks floating in the air, maybe half-caught by the gravity of some uninhabitable world. best place for flying creatures... like dragons. :)
I'd love to role-play in that world.
