Shamans are very fast recon units. At a top speed of 130 kph, they can outrun most opponents and travel longer distances in a nick of time. When in the target area, they can drop remote sensor packets with the dispensers mounted in their legs, and the active probe both monitors the incoming data and warns the Chimera of any opponent within 120 meters. 2 light machine guns provide minimal self defense, while the light TAG unit on the right shoulder marks a foe for incoming semi-guided LRMs or homing artillery, like Copperhead shells and Arrow IV missiles.
