Fun fact: back when I hung out in more writer-ly circles, I sometimes heard about this phenomenon of characters taking on a life of their own and wrestling control away from their creator, because whatever the creator had planned for them would just spontaneously be supplanted by a new idea out of nowhere that just felt so perfect for the characters that it just had to be done, plans be damned. I feel like I got a small taste of that for the first time in my life when I realized Zomnia tilts her head sideways like this when she's happy. I didn't plan for this, didn't consciously decide that for her, but damn if it doesn't just feel perfectly like her to be like that.
