SPROING! Bunny Koopus!? Page 2/2
Well it seems the now much smaller
koopusk has managed to tip over his shell and climb out of it, so we can now see his glorious pink bunny self!
It's supposed to be pink! My scanner! It didn't! *cries*
Anyways he doesn't look all that happy.... Oh right... I was only supposed to make him half his old size, maybe this was to small.... Erm you're still half your old size! If we're speaking strictly height wise and counting the tip of the ears. >.>;
Hey wait, you lost your glasses, you can't see well, right?
I'll just be sneaking off now and laughing manically into the night.

Eep! *frantically tries to scramble out of the way of the wolf's spasmodic footsteps, but unfortunately winds up following his random path, being whipped about by the flaps of his trench coat and barely avoiding getting his little cotton tail crushed in wake of the the wolf's ungainly gait*
*Koopus crawls out of the mess of tangled heavy fabric, luckily unharmed having caught mainly the wolf's trenchcoat as he collapsed. Breathing deep sharp gasps, he looks around, seeing the unmoving fallen giant of a wolf behind him, clambers to climb up to his face to check if he's alright.
"Odin?" Koopus asks softly in his squeaky bunny rabbit voice, "Odin, are you okay?" As the tiny former turtle draws nearer to the hat-covered visage of his fallen compadre he knows immediately that something is very wrong. Odin wasn't moving, not the slightest stir of muscle beneath the clothing Koopus stood upon, nor any hint of a heartbeat. Feeling increasingly scared Koopus calls in increasing desperation "Odin! Odin!" 'Please...' he thinks desperately, 'I can't bear it, not again...'. He reaches the broken wolf's upper torso when finally he hears a sign of consciousness, a low escaping hiss from the wolf's muzzle followed by a whimper. Enormously relieved, placing a paw across his fluffy chest and exhaling in a short sigh, Koopus hastens to remove the hat from Odin's head, but just as he touches it, Odin yowls in pain. Koopus recoils, terrified by what he'd done.
"Odin, are you-"
"Koopus, is that you?" Odin replies weakly, his voice is thick like he's speaking through his teeth and muffled by the hat. "Yes Odin, I'm here, I'm here," "I can't see, Koopus- The burning! Please- Please help me- Please make it stop!" Koopus can tell that each of Odin's words comes with enormous pain. he wants to help, but is frightened of hurting Odin further.
"Odin," Koopus says, voice quavering. Odin doesn't answer but becomes very still and tense once more, so Koopus knows he's listening. "Odin I'm going to try and remove your hat, it might hurt," Very carefully he draws forward and grasps the brim of the fedora, there's a rattling intake of breath from beneath the dark noir-theme headwear. "I'm so sorry," Koopus whispers tearfully, as he slowly begins pulling the hat off, there's a nasty sticky resistence to his pulling, like something wet and sticky had glued the fabric in place. Koopus can hear the stifled screams of pain, can feel the wolf's muscles tense and vibrate and tremble. He can see the wolf's larynx expand and contract, his chest rise and fall rapidly. "Almost there," Koopus manages to utter, panting with the effort of moving with such careful control and precision. "Odin, it's almost gone..." The wolf's sweaty muzzle is revealed, the jaw clenched, his harsh breaths whistling through his fangs, his cheeks were pallid beneath the granite grey fur, shining with sweat. Koopus thought of how those cheeks would so often bloom with fantastic, fiery crimson in the wolf's characteristic blush. Seeing them so pale... Koopus redoubled his concentration on extracting the fabric. He was coming to the wolf's eyes which was where the greatest adhesion lay. One was revealed, shut tight, smeared tears and sweat all about it. Slowly he removed the fabric. Then it was gone and Koopus saw the other eye... Koopus gasped, so did Odin, a horrible sharp gasp of pain. The fur around the eye had been completely burned away, bits of the sear continued along the wolf's muzzle, the flesh had been seared off, leaving a blotchy black and red. It looked raw and wet, and was so swollen the eye was reduced to naught but a puffy slit.
"AAAAaaaaAAaaAAAHHH!!" Odin finally yelled, it was chilling, soul-freezing shriek. The cool air was attacking the open wound. Koopus was staring in horror. He was so set on removing the hat, sure it would somehow make things alright. But he'd made things a hundred times worse! What was he going to do?! Odin had stopped screaming, he had clamped his mouth shut and had begun to sob in the back of his throat.
"Odin- I'm here, I'm here..." Koopus said in sheer desperation, embracing one of the wolf's clenched bloodless knuckles. "I want to help... But there's only one way I can-" the little rabbit turned teary eyes on his dear friend's tortured face. Odin had opened his un-charred eye a tiny sliver. Even in his horrid excruciation Odin managed to smile.
"I- ...I- trust- you-" He managed to gasp.
"But it'd be so dangerous! I- I don't know if I can control it! Not in this state! Not with all the unstable emotions! He'll take control of it- And I won't be able to stop! O-Odin- You might-" Koopus was pleading, knowing that Odin couldn't possibly know what danger he was really in.
"I trust you," Odin said again. *

*The small bunny looked at the wolf as he lay in indescribable pain, floppy ears folding to the side in worry and guilt, as something stirred from within him. Something both powerful…and dark. But the more Koopus gazed down at his injured friend, loyal and pure instincts finally forced him to take a deep breath, and with as much care as he could place, pressed his hands onto the wolf’s scarred snout. A pitiful, pained whimper issued from the wolf at the touch but sighed weakly as strong yellow light sparked and surged from the small rabbits hands, flowing from Koopus into the injured wolf, whose mask of pain cracked, and melted, fading away as his body loosened from the tension of injury and hurt. The bunny wanted to keep his eyes closed, unable to push away the sight of Odin’s injured eye, but his heart thumped to the steady beat of the yellow energy, as emotions ran through his mind rapidly, intensified by the use of his power. Taking very weak, nervous gulp, Koopus slowly opened his eyes…and let off a relieved gasp of pleasant surprise as he saw the wound nearly gone, as fur grew back into place, and seared flesh was healthy and pink before lost in a new coat of fur, the eye (briefly seen) was healthy and shined with the same playful energy that Koopus had come to recognize from the wolf. Koopus beamed, his new buck teeth gleaming as he was actually in control of his power! Letting the power flow into the wolf, just enough to be sure all of his injuries would be healed, Koopus began to apply his will, tightening the flow of power, to slow the pressure to the point of it ceasing all together, feeling a bit better from how successful this had went…
But, as Koopus tried to bend his power to his will, something resisted, and the power actually doubled its flow, power sapping from the former koopa as it flared right into the wolf, the remaining vestiges of Odin’s wounds instantly disappearing with nothing as much as a scar…but something was clearly wrong. Something was overriding Koopus’s control, letting the power run wild as the bunny tried to pull free from the wolf’s muzzle.
“No…” he squeaked in fear as something rooted him to the spot…and a dark, familiar chuckle echoed within Koopus mind, the impression of something…or someone else, was peering through Koopus’s eyes. In Koopus’s minds eye, his fears and worries seemed to take shape of a being he wished never to see again. Idek chuckled darkly as the defenseless bunny whimpered and wept quietly as his friend was at the mercy of his powers.
“You really think I was going to let such an opportune moment slip my grasp Koopus? Such an opening to not only harm you, but the ones you love and care for? It was such a delicious sight, to see you weep for a creature you barely knew, but to make you harm such a close companion? Its…so decadent. Its like rare chocolates, to devour such feelings of betrayal and harm…not only from you…but from this pathetic pup…look at him Koopus…”
But the former koopa had clenched his eyes shut, tears already pouring down his cheeks, staining his fur and shining in the light of his powers. Idek hissed at this, and applying HIS will upon the koopa, roaring
“LOOK AT HIM!”
The bunny had no other choice but to comply, eyes opening…and Koopus let off a heat broken bellow as he saw the wolf begin to shrink visibly, collapsing into himself. The fur on the wolf’s face was slowly receding into the scalp and snout, becoming shorter but softer at the same time, as the wolf’s skull was reshaping itself as well, as ears seem to “grow” in reality of the shape of the head shrinking, the snout losing mature definition as it slowly pulled inward, becoming more and more childlike in moments. The rest of the body was facing similar changes as definition and tone brought on in years began to shrink and soften, as limbs pulled into the body with only minor twitches and spasms in reaction to the unnatural power turning the biological clock on Odin’s frame. His clothes helped provide a better idea of his changes as sleeves and pant legs began to “deflate” as less and less fabric was filled. His hands slid towards his prone form before finally disappearing incredibly loose sleeves, similar to his feet, which became smaller and smaller but tugged his oversized shoes along with him, making his pant legs scrunch and fold up like an accordion. Even the wolf’s fuzzy tail was shrinking, becoming shorter and nubbier, but softer, lighter fur began cover it. The regressing wolf slowly opened his eyes, which had become slightly larger in proportion to the shrinking skull but the blue eyes were shockingly vibrant which belied a clearly still adult mind, as it whimpered, looking at the slowly “growing” bunny with those eyes, his voice rising in pitch as he traveled backwards through puberty…
“K-Koopus…” he said, sounding confused and a bit scared. This made Koopus bellow more, tears flowing anew, as Idek beamed quietly in triumph…but even one as dark as this shade was surprised as the soon-to-be wolf cub raised a sleeve covered hand, and touched at Koopus’s cheek, a very weak smile on his muzzle as he whispered, eyes sparkling with his own tears.
“I…still…trust you…”
Koopus was shocked by Odin’s gesture and Idek was furious, sending a sudden surge of power into the wolf, the hidden hand suddenly pulling back more as the wolf shrank even more but Koopus, guilt and horror suddenly cast aside as rage filled his heart…and turned it back on Idek, snarling.
“No More.”*
