Nah it's not really a ton of work, I'm still in the rut of art block. I decided to try a new art program to compliment the idea of making a new character. I made this boy over a couple days and I really grew akin to drawing him. My boy Kirbee, he's a new friend :>
I know this is not what I usually draw and I know it's not my best, I just.. have been feeling the brunt of art block a lot. I wanted to get something, finish anything. I'm happy with my design to the degree of wanting to show him here.
This character concept is not entirely new though, I'll have to give credit to Smorbee over at https://twitter.com/smorbee for making the phonodroid species.

Lore wise though, this character of Kirbee is a modified Phonodroid that was built for being a gaming buddy. His 4 arms allow him to be player 2 and player 3 to whoever wants to play a nice N64 game using his built-in screen. State of the art technology allow the use of up to 6 cartridges to be inserted and choose among any 6 of them in the home menu. Though he needs to recharge every few days through his tail power adapter, play time can extend for up to a full day without being plugged in. His ability to walk around also allows him to be a mobile console machine. As an added safety precaution, he shuts off the console when his power gets low, allowing him one full hour of movement to reach a nearby power outlet. A very friendly pal that enjoys spreading cheer.
