It turns out that potent acidic magics and an incredible amount of endurance kept the muttstelid menace from sinking beyond recovery in that goopy, clinging quickcarpet trap! Kept it soft enough she could 'swim' to the edge and drag herself to safety on the solid ground beyond.
It was a near thing seeing how far it got up her suit but the annoyed and momentarily exhausted assassin just needs a few to get her strength back, scrape the worst off and continue on her way to do her job.
Infinitely warier of any potential, binding traps, too.
