Food and nourishment;
Blood, internal organs.
He only eats normal human meals for the taste.
But it does nothing for his body health wise.
He can go only a week with out blood, or he'll
get really sick and possibly die.

The situation with the sun;
He doesn't burst into fire or ash once the sun hit's him.
But he sure as hell doesn't sparkle.....
His body will get a very bad sun burn after two hours.
If he were to stay in the day longer than that
he'll get really bad third degree burns, die and then turn to ash. lol
