After what seems like hours, Nessa and Shred released one another from their embrace.
Nessa: Well, I better get changed. I'll be out soon. Just let David know. Okay?
Hearing the name David, made Shred realize something he never noticed until now.
Shred: Nessa. That guy outside. Is that-
Nessa: Yes, Shred. That's the David you remember. He was keeping himself in disguise, and made his voice sound different so you wouldn't know.
Shred: But why would he do that?
Nessa: Just like me, he didn't want to reveal who he really was. Not until after this event.
Shred: Well then. Guess it's time to surprise him. I'll just be outside.
Nessa smiled, as Shred left the locker room, and Nessa started to change to her normal clothes. Once Shred was outside of the locker room, he spotted David, who was leaning against a wall.
David: Eyy, Shred. So you gave a pep talk to the new champ?
Shred: David. I know it's you. Nessa told me. You don't have to alter your voice anymore.
Hearing this, David's grin disappeared, as he cleared out his throat while covering his mouth.
David: Ah, finally. I don't have to do that voice anymore. It really hurts if you do it long enough.
Shred: You know. With that voice, it threw me off from recognizing you. As well as that cologne you’re wearing.
David: I kind of figured you would’ve known it was me from my scent. So, I did my best to mask it. Not sure if you figured out it was Nessa though.
Shred shook his head no.
Shred: Not really. I never really went on quests with Nessa, so I wasn’t too familiar with her scent. But regardless of the case. I’m glad to see you two again.
David: As we are with you, Shred.
David reached out his hand, as Shred accepted it. They wrapped their free hand together, and brought it in, happy to be reunited again. As they did this, Nessa came out of the locker room, holding her gym bag. Nessa was now wearing her normal clothes, that consisted of an orange tank top, a blue pearl necklace, and pink jeans.
Nessa: Glad to see you two catch up.
David: I’m just glad we don’t have to hide our identities anymore.
Nessa: You can say that again. No more dodging questions about who we really are in the end.
David: Yup. But I think we should get going. Our limo should be at the back right about now.
Nessa: Sweet!
Shred: Where is it gonna take us?
David: The famous place to have a drink in the city. The Brickhouse Bar!
Shred: So, you’re gonna be bringing me home? Fine by me!
Shred, Nessa, and David made their way out of the building, where they saw the stretch limousine awaiting them.
Nessa: And there’s our ride.
David: Time to party the night away!
Shred: I second that!
Nessa, David, and Shred entered the back of the limo. When the door was closed, the driver started to drive to their destination. With the drive towards the Brickhouse Bar, silence surrounded the three. This was until Nessa felt that she needed to break the silence.
Nessa: So, Shred. How……how long have you been here for? You know…when you came back to life?
Shred winced when he heard this, remembering exactly what happened when he came back to his World. But not wanting to remember, he made something up.
Shred: I…I have been here for several months now. Ever since then, I met several of our comrades.
David: Really!? Who else came back!?
Shred: Let me see. The first two I encountered were Talon and Keeley. Then there was Namida, and after that, there are you two.
David: So one of the 4 Founders is alive again. But I wish there were more of us who came back.
Shred: I believe there are more of us around here I don’t know about. Because of what happened a few months ago. That’s when a bar fight broke out, and in the end, I tried to help one of the girls up who was part of the fight. But they just swatted my hand away.
Nessa: Well that’s pretty rude of them.
Shred: But that’s not it. It’s what she said to me. It was something I only know one person says.
David: And what was it?
Shred: “All I just wanted was just some time to relax and have some alone time. But even that I can't have!” That’s something I know one person always says whenever they get really pissed. Jaymee.
Nessa: That was Jaymee!?
Shred: Yup. The unfortunate part is, I don’t know where she went after that. I kept my eye out to try and find her again, but she never came back.
David: I hope she’s doing alright.
Shred: I have a feeling she is. But it’s nothing compared to what happened a couple of months ago.
David: And what’s that?
Shred: A couple of months ago, it was just a normal routine day for the Bar. Then all of a sudden, there was a bright and blinding light that enveloped all of us. But that light, it felt very familiar.
Nessa: What do you mean?
Shred: I mean that the bright light was not something to feel afraid of. It felt inviting, and warm.
David: You mean.That was.
Shred: Yup. It was Trinity Limit.
Nessa: If that’s the case. That means that there are more of us in this city. But where are they exactly?
Shred: That, I don’t know.
David: Regardless of the case. Since there are more of us in this World, it's only a matter of time until we are reunited again.
Nessa: Yeah. But that leaves one question though.
Shred: What's that?
Nessa: Remember what Oliver said to us? A long time ago before we went to the Keyblade War? We would all come back alive. But doesn't it feel weird that we didn't all come back at once? Or that we somehow find ourselves here and not back at Daybreak Town?
David and Shred thought about this, because what Nessa said did make a good point.
Shred: I don't think we will know the answer until we find Oliver first.
David: So it's only a matter of time.
After some time talking, the driver of the limousine stopped the car, as they all had arrived at their Destination.
Nessa: Looks like we're here.
Shred: Yup. Home sweet home.
David: Let's go get hammered!
Nessa, David, and Shred got out of the vehicle. When they did, the driver went off, ready to pick up their next clients. As they entered the doors to the Brickhouse Bar, they were greeted to the cheers of all of the patrons inside.
????: hey everyone! Shred's back!
Shred waved one of his hands up into the air, taking in all of the greetings.
Shred: Everyone! I would love you to meet two of my greatest friends. David, who is the manager for my other friend, Nessa. Who just won the championship!
Hearing this, Nessa raised her championship belt up into the air, making the crowd cheer in a loud roar. When the cheers and clapping died down, Shred, Nessa, and David started to make their way to the bar. But as they did, Talon, Keeley and Namida, who were all wearing employee uniforms for the Brickhouse Bar, spotted Nessa and David. When they did, they placed down whatever they were holding and ran towards them.
Talon, Keeley, and Namida: Nessa! David!
Hearing their names, Nessa and David turned to where the voices came from, where they were immediately glomped by Talon, Keeley, and Namida. All three of them were started to tear up. When Nessa and David saw who they were, they started to tear up as well. All 6 of them were now reunited.
Keeley: We're so glad that you made it!
Nessa: We can say the same for you three!
Shred saw everything unfold in front of him, and couldn't do anything but just smile at the moment. However, he did take this time to order 3 beers for himself, Nessa, and David. After a touching moment, Talon, Keeley, and Namida broke the large embrace.
Talon: Well. We better get going. We are still on the job after all.
Keeley: Crap. We better get moving then.
Namida: We'll catch up after all this. Okay?
Nessa: No worries.
David: We're not going anywhere.
Shred: Hey you two. When you're done with your moment. Your beers are right here waiting for ya.
Nessa: Alright!
David: Good to have a cold one after what you went through today.
Nessa and David approached Shred, who was sitting on one of the bar stools. David sat to the left of Shred, while Nessa sat to his right. All 3 of them took hold of their glasses, and raised them up into the air.
Shred: To Nessa's victory!
David: And to reuniting with our comrades!
All 3 of them took a drink of their beer, feeling relief from it.
