Well now, yesterday my microwave chose 2 give of da ghost, in a manner of speaking. But thankfully I already have a new microwave coming tomorrow.
Funny thing is when I was removing it from my kitchen, I saw a tag on da back with it's model number etc. And it said that it was made March 2003. So I had a 17 year old microwave. I thought it was just a year or 2 old. Weird.

You might want to get a new microwave... they are microwaves and are harmful in high doses. Those doors are designed to prevent harmful amounts of radiation from leaving the inside and when are cracked become ineffective in doing so.
Just be careful yeah? Tape will not prevent microwaves from leaking.
So yes, it will still work, but you are risking your own health by using it at that point.
