I drew this quick sketch in response to the current uproar in America over the police.
I know that people aren't too fond of the police already... but DAMN!!! The level of hatred towards them has been taken to a unimaginable level. It's terrible! Yes, a few cops unjustly killed a man (a black man) and those police deserve to be tried for the killing. But the world has completely turned against all police. And almost all of them had nothing to do with the crime. But they are still labeled as killers, and they need to be killed off. Even furry characters that are police are told to be killed off or stop being drawn. Personally, this is really unfair and unjust. Why is it that when one cop does something wrong, then all cops are wrong? If one person in a certain race does a terrible crime, does that make all people of that race evil as well? This is really messed up.
I myself have a police character named Tyson. He was created about 4-5 years ago, so way before any of this uproar started. And Tyson is very special to me (as with all of my characters), and he is a part of me. And to be told that can never draw him again because he a cop is devastating. But you know what... SCREW IT ALL!!! This is my art and my character, and I can draw him if I want to! Tyson was not created to be a bad cop. He is a good police officer who is doing good for his town and his family, and he will continue to do that. And his husband Jason, a former criminal turned good thanks to Tyson, will support him all the way.
Black lives matter... of course they do matter. They have matter ever since they were first created. But the same goes for ALL people. God did not make only one group matter, He made them ALL matter. And that includes police as well, whether you like it or not.
So if the picture and what I have to say offends you, well then, there are many other artists in the world. You can unfollow me and watch them instead.

What those officers did was wrong and they deserve what happened to them. But not all officers are like that. Look at what happened in New York a officer supported a peaceful really and even participated with them and the officer was a Chief of Police. In my country our police officers are doing what they can to ensure our safety and would just clamly talk with other people to either to socialize or warn them about Covid. They are humans like all of us and they have feelings also.
There good police just most people have no idea what police deal with on daily basis, they are stressed and when they are stressed they have short time tolerating people, they are human like anyone else but they also need know when they crossing the line too, I not bias some things I seen was unacceptable and justifiable.
This is so true. Not all cops are bad, but those four were. That I will not argue about. But I adore and respect Tyson. He's awesome and Jason is the same way. He's awesome too. You draw whatever you want. I'll never stop you from doing that. I love your art to much that say anything like that.
This is not to make uproar.
Since the start of June, and pride month, most people call racism and pride month in one breath? Maybe it's me but I though those were two sepperated subjects.
In the Dutch we have a saying (I translated it for easyness) 'I more hate the game than the player' and that's what I have with this thing.
I can't fully enjoy pride month since everything is snowed under with the rasism thing

America is a unique place. It's a crazy, beautiful city where we celebrate our differences. This is not the America I know. The America I know is better than this. We don't just blindly assume blame. We know who the true culprits who started this debacle are already and they have been properly punished, but it is irresponsible to label all police and authorities as savages. We cannot let paranoia divide us or else we've lost. Please, give me back the America we love.
Hello EJ. I am so glad you've drawn this. I must confess I was genuinely worried about you, after reading your journals. I did want to say something but I couldn't find the words and I have to admit I was a bit timid given the atmosphere around FA. All I could think to do was pray and I am so glad it's been answered.
For yourself: What you've done over the last few days, and here, is courageous. It takes a lot of strength to speak your mind not only in what is happening but how it is affecting you personally. It's healthy to be true to yourself, as well as those around you. I can tell you are an honest decent chap. I am happy to watch an artist, who puts their heart and soul into their work and shows such humbling sincerity of goodwill to people.
For Tyson and Jason: I admire how you both for standing up and supporting each other through this time. You know who and what you are, rather than what some people want to perceive you as and that is most important. I wish I could give you a hug.
As for those in the police, just as the paramedics and Fire brigade, The services are made up of a multitude of individuals, they could be White, Black, Asian, mixed-race, Christian, Jew, Muslim, Hindu, Straight, Gay, Bisexual, Men, Women, Young and old, who give/risk their lives when they put on the uniform. They are human. Please don't give up on those who genuinely want to help their family, friends, and their community.
EJ: How you've overcome this darkness of fear and hate is very inspiring. Every individual is responsible for their actions unto each other and yours has been humbling. Thank you for giving me the courage to say what I think too. Stay strong and true to yourself, cast your worries to the Lord, and know that there are people here who care about you too. Take care.

Wow! That was probably the best comment that I have received from all of this. Thank you.
Yes I was feeling very discouraged and down. But thank the Lord for lifting me up and restoring my hope and peace. And it is good for others too if I testify the good things that God has done for me so that they too will have hope and peace through Him.

You tell ‘em, guys! Break free from the negative stereotypes! Break the cycle of hatred!
Y'know, ever since the police have shown aggression towards citizens, I’ve seen a lot of people on Twitter following the trend to “defund the police” and I don’t see how that idea could work to our country’s benefit. If anything, I’d rather we, as a country, rethink the police system and reboot it into one that hires more people in the force who are just like Tyson, or Elisa Maza from Gargoyles.
