A long overdue fan character for Nier Automata: YoRHa type T (Tracker) no.1 or "T1".
made as a commission drawn by my friend
An old prototype idea based on a repurposed Type A (attacker) body. Models T were lightweight, low maintenance models that can be seen as a spiritual predecessor to the new Type S (Scanner) android models.
Officially, they would've been charged with exploring the earth, reconnaissance, skirmishing, gathering documentation, cartography and analyzing any element of interest they encounter, they would be sent to roam the earth endlessly looking for new information to send to the bunker or any higher commands they report to. They can be comparable to light infantry or foot soldiers. Unlike other androids, they are "barebone" models to reduce production and material costs and are fit with the bare minimum, for this reason, they weight about slightly above the average human weight rather than twice or more like the actual models. Depending on their task, they could be seen either alone with or without a pod, with an accompanying T or specialized model, or seen in small groups.
Unofficially, Type T androids were often tasked with tracking or stalking targets of high value such as YoRHa dissidents or newly unidentified machines, constantly transmitting their coordinates and registering their activities. Without any evident YoRHa style uniforms, those who could operate on earth often pose as nomads tribes, resistance members or other kind of dissidents and would integrate peaceful communities machines and androids alike providing they weren't hostile to them. They would also deny any involvement with YoRHa. Those who appears in squads would often pose as nomad tribes that travels and sells goods they gathered and analyzed to reinforce their cover.
Unlike other models, recent and old, they have a special passive enhanced analyzing function that allows them to assess the arrangement of the environment and has easier ways to detect weak points in targets or key elements. Production of those models were quickly stopped due to the arrival of the type S, them being able to perform similar function in addition to hacking, a capacity that T models lacked most. Nobody knows how many type T were initially produced and tested nor if they operated under a different type designation.
To this day, only one remaining active model is known, which is T1, or "Ty", who lost contact with YoRHa for a long time and is now wandering on earth with her pod without getting any new orders since.
So that's it, I think I covered everything for my new character, I haven't thought much of her personality and character itself but feel free to comment if there's a detail missing.
