I've been doing a lot of raw sketches recently, things that I feel have a lot of potential but not quite enough to invest large effort in polishing to the nth degree. I've been kinda searching around for a colouring style to match, one I can do quickly to bring enough life to my sketches that I can post them as standalone artworks. There's quite a popular anthro/furry art style I see a lot of, where most of the picture is shaded with super soft brushes with very little texture and I thought I'd try and replicate it.
I found this sketch of Tiwaz that I thought would be a good fit to try it on since it's largely like, two colours and I think it worked well. I got the colouring done in just a few hours and I'm pleased with the results. I don't think I'll adopt this style outright, but it's something I now know I can do and perhaps I can adapt elements of it into my mainline artwork.
