Idk about coming out, but what I mean is, I can see people trying to express their pride in their identity, and having something of their own as a legit thing. I don't share this point of view - not only because I'm straight and have no special colours to call my own - but that doesn't mean I don't get it.
And I can see the point of view of colourful bullshit and another way of segregating via assigning colours and flags as well. This idea is closer to heart for me.

If I were gay ™ I'd probably dislike it myself. I cannot really appreciate that some group of people I never even met gathered up and decided what I should or shouldn't like, wear, drink, and identify as.
