Protagonist of my story/book "Laer-Jion"

Sir Gavin of Traves is a rather young (and short) white wolf with a keen mind and a fine nose. After a rough and poor childhood where he lost his family he moved to the stony town of Malora, far away from his hometown. There he stumbled right into a three-sided gang war and a thoroughly bribed city w atch. Joining ranks with one of the most dangerous criminals he exposed two of the three involved sides as well as the corrupt elements who were helping to keep the status quo. After the dust settled his partner officially disappeared and only Gavin knows about his whereabouts.
As a reward he was offered knighthood in the service of Baron Leto of Traves, his homwtown - which pulled him from the active ranks and into a rather dull life, but enabled him to change things for the cvity watch under his command in Traves. He mostly leaves his "nobility duties" to some administrators and is always eager to dive into the next criminal mystery. The Baron doesn't bother him with everyday stuff, but when Gavin gets called, things are serious.
Like in the case of a serial killer who is seemingly out for revenge - and lots of blood.

He is a good-hearted fellow who likes to work "by the book", although is not very hesitant to choose other means, when needed. His physique is not very impressive and he relies on his speed and agiliyt to win his fights, being a decent fencer with a sword and buckler. When it comes to brute force he is usually accompanied by his old friend Kilian, making them a rather classic and effective "Brains and Brawns" couple.
