I also see you got some "red lines" from the RGB it looks really nice, claustrophobic!

Thanks, the glitching effect was something added to make it loop as a gif. It was done in after effects using a displacement map, mapped to footage of a blank vhs tape malfunctioning. Any yes, I did add RGB splitting to give the short a bit of a grungy aesthetic, kind of like an older video tape

The more I see and the more I like. You've really got the villain scene so nicely. I like how it looks as if we're drawing back from him as he's walking towards us. His expression is really sly and menacing. The two creatures in the back really add to the sense of suspense as they emerge from the fog. This so cool. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I shit you not, when I saw this, I actually yelled out loud: "HOLY SHIT, THIS IS FUCKING AMAZING."

I want high quality, frame-by-frame, 2D animations like this one to be back so badly. Even if it was "just" a 20 min short movie.

Even the few seconds of this animation preview here have more heart, soul, emotion, personality than all the 100 hours CGI bullshit movies today combined.
