You know how hard magic is? I guess barely one per mille of you would be able to answer that question with yes. After all, magicians, wizards, warlocks and similarly are quite rare these days.
As for myself, well, I can say that I have gotten a bit better ever since I found my magical medallion. Transforming into my dragon self has become nearly like second nature to me, as well as transforming into some other forms and beings, though admittedly these take a bit more experience and concentration.
But there is one thing I stil struggle with. And that is using the transformative powers of my pendant to shift my clothes as well. Can you guess how much clothes I allready shredded, either by accident or in other ways? Yeah. Too much.
So a little while ago, I got into my backyard, out of sight of any curious neighbours and other people to try get into my dragon form while keeping my clothes mostly intact, just shifting them enough for my new draco-body to fit into them.
So I was standing there, just wearing my underwear, a pair of cheap trousers and a t-shirt, focusing on the pendant's energies. I have not really found out yet any kind of consistent way how to do it. But I tried to go that way by imagining how my body as a dragon feels and how it would feel to wear clothes in that form, so that both my clothes and my body would shift at the same time.
This time I would try shift as slow as I can, so I can get out of my clothes if needed. So I conjoured the energies, letting them flow into me, feeling how my body was slowly starting to shift. This time I felt a general increase of my muscles all over, feeling my draconic strenght coming to me bit by bit. Soon enough I felt a shift in my back and I knew that this time aparently my wings would come out first.
So I tried to imagine how it would feel how the t-shirt would have to big slit-holes on my back, large enough for my wings and wing-membranes to stick through, trying to imagine the sensation of how the fabric of my shirt would rubb and tugg at the tough membranes. And to my surprise, I could feel the t-shirt being transformed as well alongside my ingrowing wings.
I straightened my back a bit as I felt quickly enough the weight of my wings pulling me back as the stretched out more and more, twitching and shivering as the warm summer air was brushing over them. And the t-shirt was growing with me as with my wings now also my torso was barreling out, growing muscles and stronger bones to support my increasing weight. From my shoulders out the change was spreading, first up my neck, then downwards my tummy. I had to grind my teeth a bit as the shift quickly engulfed my face, making it feel like it was remolded by invisible hands forming wet clay.
It didn't really hurt (anymore) but it was stil a not too pleasureable experience. Yet this seemed to have broken my concentration, because as I could hear my bones crunching and growing, I could feel my tail growing in as well, pushing hard against my trousers. I gasped as the fabric was giving my lengthening rear limb quite a wedgie, trapping it inside.
I tried to imagine how it would have instead its own sleeve, just like on my legs, but it was in vain, the increasing muscles and bones were not granted their freedom and so they looked for it themselves, by pushing hard and strongly against the back of my trousers. I did my best to surpress my whines and groans, before suddenly with a ripping sound my trousers gave in, splitting in half on the back, my flopping out like a coiled spring.
Flapping my wings and tail at that didn't do any good with me gaining back my concentration, as the transformation was stil running its own course. , moving down my legs by now. I leaned over to hold onto the wodden fence, clawing at the wood with my ingrowing claws, leaving quite some marks for the neighbours to wonder what kind of beast might roam the neighbourhood.
It was all too much at once, trying to focus on too many things at once, so I just had the transformation run its course instead of slowing it down. My feet were soon reshaped into a pair of strong and sturdy dragon paws, feeling my big toe moving upwards my reshaping heel to form a dewclaw, while the reshaping nails would shredd my socks to bits, slicing through the fabric with ease.
My ears by now were fully formed, swiveling around to the sounds of ripping and straining fabric as I was grabbing onto the fence. Soon the socks and trousers were too torn to be of any discomfort for me, giving me a break from the discomfort. Riding out the last few bits of me changing, I let out a deep sigh, marking this trial as a failure. I knelt down to grab my glasses, which haven't shifted either to fit my reshaped face, but luckily they were still intact, so there was that.
Grabbing my pendant to look at it , pondering how I could really fully control it finally. But I feared even if I had a dragon-master at hand that could explain it to me, the answer would probably be: Practice, practice, practice, until you are perfect.
Yeah, can can nearly hear the clothes being shredded, being so lovely depicted by
Kainik .I managed to get my shirt stay in one piece, but my trousers and socks didn't share its fate. Seems I need to concentrate more on that.
