Now I REALLY need to read these books O.o

The books have more of an epic feel compared to the movie, IMHO.

The original Oz books Baum wrote, that is. :)

And yet, they have an uncomfortably large following that literally bought into that "untold story". :P

We have that book to thank for having people demonize Dorothy, which quite frankly upsets me.

I get that the writer was, well, experimenting with a different approach, but it doesn't mean I have to like it.

And since the whole Wicked concept sucks, I'll never read it anyway. I just don't want that world in my head.
