I wanted some of these, but I refuse to use eBa. So I get to wait like everyone else. Already got one of the Burstcannon variants and they are awesome.

Very nice, I got a shot of the new suits in the newsletter. Might have to rethink my tau army after they get released normally.

They still don't look big enough to fit a pilot inside.

That's cause they aren't. Same goes for Dreadnoguht, Rhinos, Land Raiders, Drop Pods, Valkyries, Wave Serpents...none of GW's "armor" is to-scale.

I thought for the Rhinos that the Space Marines just had to take off all of their armour and rub themselves down with bacon grease before embarking. That would seem appropriately efficient for the Imperium.

Haha - yeah... at the local GW store, they have tables set up for games, and we're allowed to use FW models so long as your opponent agrees.

I got to test out my XV9 team (3 Xv9s each with Phased Ion Guns) by asking specifically:
"Does anyone wanna have a game so I cant test out my new friends?"

Ended up versing Chaos. Guy only won 'cos he filled his Heavy Support choices entirely with Obliterators.
Even then it took all 6 turns of the Obliterators shooting almost exclusively at them XD
Toughness 5 is a lifesaver (i.e. no instant-death from Str9 lascannons) ^^

I'll second that... they NEED an update.

Right now, pretty much getting steamrolled by erryone out there.
Tau need a base BS of 4, not 3.
Hell, Kroot are better than Firewarriors and are cheaper!
Imperial Guardsmen are better than Firewarriors and are cheaper.

Sure, FW have 30"RangeStr5AP5 guns, but with their profile... and for 10 points?
Make them BS4 and then they're WORTH those 10 points. Right now they're worth 6 or 7. Kroot are worth 10, but I'm not complaining about them XD

Kroot are fine price-wise, but they need more options-how's about some of those genetic traits, hm? Some furious charge, some wings? maybe psychic? Also, give us some Demiurg and Nicassar, and make Vespid worth taking. I WANT to love Vespid, but the current design is lacking and they're too fragile for how much we pay for 'em.

Hehe - they do have those options, actually :D

You can have a Kroot Army.

Nicassar are Battle Fleet Gothic, but don't have much past Yachts...
And the Demiurg.. well.. they'd be Squats but a bit over powered too.
They gave Tau the least classified of their technology - including Railguns.
I'd love to see them on the field, but it's not likely to happen ._.

actually, Demiurg gave the Tau ION technology, and if Demiurg DID show up on the ground they'd be few in number. Demiurg War Droids, though? :)
