I did this yesterday, spent two days without drawing anything. Didn't wanna risk messing up on a commission, so I quickly squiggled this around.
Ended up being tired by the time I was done with Louis, so I neglected the background. Thank goodness this wasn't paid for!

I was listening to YouTube video that says drawing is sometimes like turning on a tap. The water runs dirty until it runs eventually clear. So you have to work through the bad drawings sometime.

Yeah, that's one way to put it! Get the arm cranking and the hand drawing to get rid of the two-day unproductive dust.

Sometimes you don't need a fully detailed background to call a drawing finished. This is merely the suggestion of it, but it works perfectly to suggest the ambience and mood of the moment. Quite like it!

I'm glad you think so!! After I did the shading for the shades/blinds, I forgot to take into account of the background. Thankfully it translated well anyhow, so I'd say this was satisfactory!

And I really just wanted to draw him topless and barefooted (♥ω♥*)

I love your ability to communicate in your digital paintings. You definitely brought out his allure. And the contrast between his definition and the background definitely conveys that. He's the focus.

Fantastic work on the muscle contours and lighting! The simple background works well for the lighting source and shading. Louis looks so good barefoot. I should try drawing him someday. X3
