I just have to note that the center emblem on that armor is not the imperial eagle, which would be highly unusual for a Space Marine.

Well there's a hand in the way.. it could very well be the Imperialis there.(winged skull, symbol of the space marines, and common chestplate iconography.

I think I jus tnoticed... the iconogary on him looks like that of Dark angels in a way with teh Sword and wings.. hmmm interesting.

The shoulderpad leads me to suspect either Inquisitorial or Deathwatch.

The Imperialis hasn't been worn on Marine armor since the Emperor's Children legion turned, as they've been and were the only legion to have earned His favour for such things.

Emperors Children wore the Aquila on their chest, not the Imperialis.

Usually, I ask for the commishers budget and work within it instead, than set a price no one can pay or do too much detail for lousy pay. I find this works best for me.

I've got time to burn next month. Still wanna dedicate January to more of my own things.

It was a grim realisation to look over last year's stuff, the bulk of it was not for myself.

I know exactly how you feel about this, I think around 90 percent of mystuff was commissions or not just for my own enjoyment :/ It's no wonder both of us have not not been feeling entirely overjoyed by art :/ *hugs*

does that gun fire in bursts or is it capable of single shot pops as well as bursting
(wonders what kind of mega damage it can dish out and how much that armor can take.. 'very SWEEET armor indeed.. looks like it could take an original Coalation SAMAS apart at the seams.. <not quite so easy for the 2nd generation 'super samas' tho..>

Heavy Bolter's fire fully automatic only, and enough rounds per second to tear anyone in their path to shreds if not properly armoured.

ahh.. it fires ONLY in bursts.. no sweat.. enough armor will ping it, but yea, if you dont have the plating, then you end up having the 'fun' of enjoying about 5-19 brand new *holes* to breath out of in your main body..

No, not bursts, constant continuous fire. And under concentrated fire, nothing will remain of your body if caught under the hail of ballistic death. Not just a few more holes.

Bubblegum Crisis-3 where Genom introduced the new series of dark brown assult boomers, the one with the combination single barrel heavy gattling machine pistol/grenade launcher on its right arm..
in the opening credits, an AD police guy got caught in the spray..
took several rounds to his midsection, couple in his arm, then leg, then other arm and then started getting more rounds to the already wounded areas;
result...
lost right arm, then left leg, then left leg then left arm, then head.. and torso got riddled.. and this was all in the span of about half a moment..

Um, actualy you can fire a heavy bolter in single-shot and bursts, because they make specialist rounds for them, some of which have to be loaded into the breach itself. Hellfire rounds, flachette rounds, bio-acid rounds. If the normal mass-reactive explosive rounds dont take it out, there's always another kind of round that will.

And in my opinion, I'd take Power Armor over anyhing but a Glitterboy. But I'd take Terminators over one of those ^_^
