In 19th century Japan, firefighters were known as Hikeshi.
One important task was the role of carrying the Matoi or flag to show there was a fire, and which department was on scene.
There is also a bit of lore saying that in addition to helping lost travelers in mountain areas, Ookami might help protect others from fires.
I like learning about Ookami lore, and Hikeshi, so I thought it might be interesting to have something created that incorporated both.
