2020 has not been kind to me
Still on my semi-hiatus as I deal with adult life and having the worst luck known to man (seriously, about to go buy and burn some damn sage)
Thankfully my tablet still works as a display but this pic about describes my mental state :)))))
My laptop was the first big purchase I made as an adult on my own back in 2013
Just thought I'd throw an update up. Sorry ya'll for the extended hiatus. Had scheduled a day to draw today but naturally things came up.
Here's to hoping things improve!
(Excuse my absolute trash of a coffee table cleaning is one other thing I don't have time for)

You can order the screen and repair it. They have screens on ebay. Just have to find the size and make, take the cover out, replace it, connect it to the laptop and done but its the effort and time that it needs or will have to shell out another $500-1200 for a new lappy. Good luck though, i hope you get your replacement ;3.
Last time I’ve tried to replace a part in an apple device I destroyed another part. My iPhone has a new battery now but the headphone jack is partially broken. Only one side of the headphones is working now. Readjusting the cables multiple times didn’t fix it. If you attempt to repair it yourself don’t just buy the replacement part. Buy the whole recommended tooling and stick exactly to the manual designed for your device. https://ifixit.com has very good manuals.
Lol poor guy xD.
I guess stick with the manufacturer warranty or send it to the company, get an RMA,
and ask to get it repaired. Sometimes there is a repair fee, or sometimes its covered. At least it wont be like a brand new laptop price. Probably like $100 or so.
I option is, build a pc if one has to spend over $500. Look up youtube, Jayztwocents. He fixes, and builds, and offers good advice. Even links to the builds he teaches, and does.

If you ever have to upgrade in buying a pc, its best to build a pc rather than buying a laptop. If you travel for business, go to cons a lot, then its good to have a lappy but if you stay home 90% of the time like me, pc is the way to go. Can find a prebuilt one on newegg. Prob is laptops and prebuilt computers cost twice the amount, sometimes even more. Is why laptops cost so much, because they are portable.
You might find a decent ASUS lappy on amazon. I found one for my Cousin for under $400. If you dont know what you are doing, yeah i wouldnt touch it. Building a pc isnt hard. Just dont buy a complicated computer tower like i did. Simple tower, watch some tutorials on youtube, gotta learn some where.
