This is the first ever straight razor I have made.
I made from a section of rail road tie plate. That is the thing that goes under the actual rails themselves.
This is the second pair of scales I have made, since the first pair broke when I didn't know you needed a little spacer at the rear end of it.
I was able to find out what I did wrong when I went inside and looked at my own straight razor made in Solingen, Germany.
The little spacer between the two oak scales is a slip of birch bark.
