For the absolutely wonderful 
Kaz, whom I've had the immense pleasure of working for on several projects now. i cannot overstate how much I enjoyed getting to paint this, both as a lighting exercise and just an experience. Who WOULDN'T go crazy for the opportunity to paint a big, fleshy, beautiful lava lamp that is simultaneously soft and also extremely buff? Also, this piece prompted me to try pomegranates for the first time properly and I love them now, like, a lot. Thank you for being amazing, Kaz!

You helped bring Dekkan to life, not only in your sketches but in this one in particular. I love the detail you put in, from the wonderful illustration of the lava lamp portions to the silky look of his long floppy ear (and the way the light shines through the thinner skin!) and the way you handled the palms and underside of his hooves. Such beautiful work, and you made those pomegranates look delicious! Glad I contributed to your addiction! XD Thank you so much for your wonderful work.
