Katherine waved farewell to Mr. Bull as he was driving away with his newly fixed truck. When the truck was gone from sight, Katehrine made her way back to the shop, ready for a break. But before she could go into the break room, a man who was wearing the same type of coveralls ran out from the mechanic shop across the street and approached Katherine.


????: Kat! Kat!


Katherine: What is it now, Jason?


Jason: Kat. We've got a problem at our shop. The hoist we needed to use broke down, and we need to get underneath it to replace the exhaust system.


Katherine: So it can't wait until the hoist is fixed?


Jason: Usually we do. But the car in question, is Rusty's car. And we both know that she cannot make it home without her car.


The moment Jason told Katherine that the car that needed to be fixed was Rusty's car, she didn't think twice to help out. She knew that it took Rusty an hour and a half to drive from her home to get to the shop, and if she didn't have a working car, there was no way she would be able to make it home. Katherine quickly ran to the mechanic shop across the street, where she encountered the woman who was known as "Rusty". Rusty was not an official mechanic for the shop, but just like Mr. Bull, she did volunteer from time to time. She wore coveralls just like Katherine, where her sleeves were torn off just like Katherine's. She was a little taller than her, and was much more muscular than her, which made Rusty become a really big help around when she was available. Her nickname may have been "Rusty", but her real name was Ruari Munro.


Katherine: Hey, Rusty.


Rusty: Kat! Thank goodness you're here!


Katherine: Jason came to me. Said that the hoist here is broken.


Rusty: Yeah. It is. The hose ended up severing, and all of the hydraulic fluid came out.


Katherine: Yeah that will do it. But don't you guys have another hoist available?


Rusty: That's the problem. All of them are all in use right now. And all of the cars are being worked on.


Seeing that there weren't many options, Katherine did the best she could to come up with an idea. After a few minutes, she had come up with a plan, but it was very risky.


Katherine: Rusty. I may know of a way to fix your car.


Rusty: Really? How?


Katherine: This all depends on my next question. Have you lifted up a car up into the air before?


Rusty: Well....only once. But that was a while ago.


Katherine: You think you can do it again?


Rusty: I'll...I'll try.


Rusty lowered herself and bent her legs, where she then went on her back to scoot herself underneath her car. When she got a good spot to lift up, she started to lift up her car up into the air, while starting to stand up at the same time. After fully standing up, Rusty had her car up in the air, lifting it over her head. Katherine had no words with what she was seeing in front of her.


Katherine: Holy crap....


Rusty: Kat...can you get to fixing the exhaust system now? I don't know how long I can do this for.


Katherine: Right! I'll get on it now!


Katherine quickly brought over a nearby step ladder and a toolbox that belonged to Rusty. From there, she took a trouble light and checked where to remove the old exhaust pipe. When she found where to start, Katherine went to work as fast as she could. Lucky for Katherine, the exhaust system was bolted together, not welded. She got a wrench, took an air gun that was attached to an air hose, undid each bolt and nut that were rusted and went on to store the wrench on Rusty's cleavage. Katherine then continued to remove the exhaust system from its rubber latches. After carefully placing the old exhaust system away from the car, Katherine carried the new exhaust pipe towards Rusty and the lifted car. However, Katherine saw that she had a problem. Getting the exhaust pipe off and bringing it to the ground was easy, but getting the new one on and bolting it together was a different story. Katherine tried her best to put it on, but she was struggling to do so. Seeing this, Jason came in and gave his assistance, holding onto the other end of the exhaust system. With Jason's help, Katherine was able to get the new exhaust system hooked to the rubber latches, as well as fully bolted onto the car. With Rusty's car fixed, Katherine got the ladder and toolbox away from under the car, while Rusty started to slowly and gently lower her car back to the ground. When she was halfway, she bent her knees, then went into a sitting position. Rusty proceeded to go down on her back, lower the tires to touch the ground, and fully let go of her car. Rusty got out from underneath her car and got back up. Even though the back of her coveralls was now covered in dirt, she didn't care. She was happy she can now drive home.


Rusty: Kat. Thank you so much for helping me out with this.


Katherine: Don't mention it, Rusty. You have helped us when we were in a jam. It was only right to return the favour.


Katherine and Rusty smiled at one another, feeling happy with another job accomplished. With nothing else left to deal with, Katherine made her way back to the shop across the street, went to the break room and changed out of her coveralls.
