Rufus and Garrett, buddy cops.

Rufus is comically bumbling and incompetent, Garrett is effective. Rufus is short and pudgy, Garrett is tall and... less pudgy. Rufus is a doofus, Garrett is quick-witted and clever. Best of all, Garrett won't have to worry about packing on the pounds from eating all those doughnuts--Rufus will eat the whole box before Garrett gets a chance to even eat one!

It's a match made in heaven.

I did get better at drawing cars as time went on, this one is very simple and boxy and doesn't seem to fit the characters very well, but I can play that off with a bit of canon explanation--the world these guys come from has creatures of varying height and size so it's somewhat common for smaller vehicles to be constructed to accommodate the smaller creatures, or for vehicles to be made with booster seats and extendible pedals and controls so the smaller ones can still use vehicles typically meant for their larger peers. Maybe Garrett got stuck driving around a car made with a creature like Rufus in mind instead?
