Certain games just become harder to play as you get older. Such is the case with hide-and-seek. It's a very simple concept, all players hide while one player seeks them out after counting to ten. Getting older makes this much harder to play, as your body grows, most possible hiding spots just don't work out anymore and you end up getting sought out quickly. Unless you are playing it with Sonic The Hedgehog, who goes the extra mile to shrink everyone excluding himself. With a giant hedgehog searching for you in an oversized house, this game becomes much more thrilling. With a massively grown out environment, a ton of new opportunities for hiding places pop up. There is also the added adrenalin bonus that comes from a giant actively looking for you as he stomps across the floor with his gargantuan bare feet.

Sonic enjoyed it the most. The idea of being a giant in his own home looking for small intruders was intriguing, to say the least. He would even go as far as to act like a real giant, adding a bit more realism to the game. And although it was merely an act, the blue titan would often hint at mischievous ideas using his feet. But if that wasn't enough, an occasional verbal taunt would get all the players pumped up with artificial fear. "Fee-fi-fo-fum, my feet are coming for you!" he would boom while inspecting all kinds of furniture legs. After a couple of games, the colossal hedgehog grew an instinct for detecting the runts hiding from him. He was the predator who had to think like his prey to succeed in his hunt. Meanwhile, everyone else was quaking in their boots, anxious about the gigantic boy's actions. A normal footstep of his was enough to cause a literal earthquake, at least for the shrunken players.

Tails' first time playing it with the blue blur was an experience he wouldn't forget. Out of panic, he chose an unoriginal and pretty obvious hiding spot that the spiky giant picked up on immediately. "I smell a tiny fox hiding nearby." he playfully announced as he walked towards a lonely chair. The shrunken fox became more scared with each gigantic step Sonic took towards him, which slowly reduced the young fox's confidence in his improvised hiding spot. Like the playful hedgehog that he is, he decided to sit on the chair while dangling his feet above the floor. "Hmm, where could he be?" Sonic said sarcastically while exposing his smooth soles to his shrunken friend. The two-tailed youngster couldn't even think straight anymore at this point, had his speedy friend discovered him already, or was he actually oblivious to his whereabouts? His internal conflict was resolved swiftly as the blue god jumped off the chair and enveloped one of the chair's legs between his big and second toe. "Gotcha, little buddy!" the titan boasted as he squeezed Tails gently between his gargantuan toes. This would be one of many defeats for the tiny fox as the upcoming rounds wouldn't end any differently.
