Well your description and detailing is very beautiful and well constructed in brining the world to life. The opening was also good in capturing the readers attention. In building this world remember that a system of form for the magic of your world helps makes the world more real. Fiction is fiction, and well magic is magic. Yet to a mindset anything is prescribed with its own forms of laws, physics, and energies. Applying such lets the audience explore and enjoy the concepts more in a work. So in the developments that is something to look into. There is not much character development at this moment, but that can be built over the next couple of chapters. There is a conflict to Jades characterization as a protagonist you need to watch out for that may arise. A use of feministic characterization brought on by her opposite archetypal form may disrupt development in her likings to the audience. This is because of opposition of female and male, animus and animas traits. So keep a balance in that sense and Jade will be fine and well liked by your audience despite sex.
Beyond that, seems to have an interesting and unique plot building and best of luck with the rest.

Well since the magic is element manipluation its hard to set the laws of conventional magic to it since the user can pretty much do what ever they can think of with it even if it to their own body. Though the basic concepts from what i have read and seen on element manipulation magic applies, such as water heals and such. I had been avatar the last airbender when this story came to life so im basically trying to warp the element bending from that and make it more awesome in my own mind. Thanks for all the help, and jade is quite a strong female charater but she has certain weak spots when it comes to guys and she is not ashamed by having Tobais around her but when its other people she is quite shy and well like your typical girl.
