This is a drawing I quickly did up using my "Red" template in scraps and editing it a bunch so that it looks identical to my grandfather, George Dziewurski, as he looked like before his death from Alzheimers in 1999.
What I remember most about my grandfather were the picnics he took me on when I was young and the nature trails he would walk with me on.. as well as all the times he would come visit and stay with me and entertain me with his wonderful sense of humor and kindness.
He always had a smile on his face and it was very rare to ever catch him upset - as he was such a warm, kind hearted person - he was 96 when he passed away.. and he lived a good life - having survived World War II as a veteran of the Polish armed forces.
