Vale had been walking, exploring the tar pits that were located not too far from his new apartment. Humming to himself a jolly tune as he'd look around, enjoying the scenery and wondering what it felt like for creatures to end up stuck in these things, he'd lost track of his footing! Stepping and sinking right into the center of one of those strange, oily like puddles.

Trying not to panic and to wipe the stuff off of his hands, Vale blinked a couple of times in surprise, befuddlement, and rising worry as his hands couldn't wipe any of it away, slowly coming into a new shape, and losing it's feeling momentarily.
