He's just a random creature design from 2014, never really did decide what he is, but he has some mustelid and marsupial qualities. Maybe he's some sort of possum?
I did end up deciding that he'd be some sort of alien fauna, something I do every so often with creature/character designs I like, but don't know how to fit into an existing canon story or world.
